The best Muppet movies are modern retellings of old stories, like Treasure Island or A Christmas Carol. So I say we make Muppet Fall of the House of Usher.

I think it's the best telling of treasure Island. The other one that comes close is treasure planet, but I prefer the Muppets one.

It's funny, because the LotR thing was a complete Fuckitol™ hail mary move on his part as his entire studio was about to go tits up, so he had nothing to lose. Thankfully, Meet the Feebles had flown under the cultural radar enough that those drawing up contracts hadn't seen it...
They probably saw Dead Alive and realized the potential this guy had!
