My guess is they were from some old school beat maker, Akai or EMU.. so yeah, floppies were gangster..

I had an MPC2000XL that had one of these, that was an utterly shit time lmao.

The MCD model would have been cool if compact flash and SD cards were not ludicrously expensive back then for not much more storage.
