Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

Basically the title. I hate the ad ridden offical Youtube app and would prefer to have it open in Firefox or some other browser. Is this possible? Is there a setting I missed? If it's not possible right now can it be possible in the future?

Also I love Jerboa, perfect replacement for RIF, been very happy with it so far, much love!

I'm not sure if this is available on Android, but Vinegar, which is a Safari extension, for iOS basically gives you YouTube premium, except Vinegar is a one-time payment of something around $5.

There are no ads; it auto-plays videos at 1080p; AND you can swipe up to make the picture-in-picture (or whatever it's called) where you can go to other apps or turn off the screen and keep a video playing.

If you're on iOS, this is what you're looking for, my friend!
