I'm doubtful of it too, but stuff like this is hard to dispel, whether true or not

Yeah, agreed. Although to me it all comes across like shoddy reporting of a dubious source, this is a pretty big blow to Tutanota's rep whether it's true or not. It's hard to wash off the stink of something like this after it's been disseminated to the public.
