Anyone has experience on apps such as this one?

There are other similar services, the ones I heard about are Repocket, Honeygain, Pawns or Traffmonetizer

You install the app in a computer or phone and apparently it is used by companies to test websites or create artificial traffic or other intentions? bots? DDoS attacks?

Basically you share your ip address and your bandwidth and get paid for it, people reporting making up to 10$ a month passively and using various of these apps.

I already set up a vm in azure with some free credit I have and the ip is listed as low quality so they are really looking for residential ip addresses not datacenters. At least this gives an indication that they are not interested in using cpu power.

anyone had a successful experience with those?

You would be better off being paid by Google, Nielsen, or other ad tracking companies.

It was paid $45 a month for years by Google to track my internet. They gave me a custom router to do it. It was all my own traffic, so I didn’t worry about shady outside traffic. Figured Google already tracked me anyways so I might as well be paid for it.
