Same with rice enjoyers. Either you like rice or you mix it with other stuff. Be honest to yourself

Not all rice is enjoyable by itself. It's an unfair comparison between common long or short grain rice and jasmin or other varieties, specifically chosen to have diferentiated aroma and flavour.

You can survive on rice alone. Every Asian country can testify on that. But rice, alone, gets boring fast.

At least throw some kind of sauce on top, if nothing else to put back the vitamin A rice lacks.

No you cannot, malnourishment from rice heavy diets is absolutely a thing.

You're correct.

After writing my first comment I started thinking and remembered I once read an article on how deplorable the conditions were on japanese warships due to a strict rice based diet.

That's because they're using white rice. Using brown rice would be a better option.
