An online space for the vegans of Lemmy.
Rules and miscellaneous:
- We take for granted that if you engage in this community, you understand that veganism is about the animals. You either are vegan for the animals, or you are not (this is not to say that discussions about climate/environment/health are not allowed, of course)

I actually have no idea how to solve this issue. Maybe a government buy-back or something? I can see pig farmers doing the same thing if we ever succeeded on that front.
Government buy back will cause a cobra effect.
Not if it's done one time.
The real issue then is what to do with 2 million dogs.
No doubt the ban does not cover dogs that already exist.
