A calendar with 13 months of 28 days each. This would result in a year with 364 days. However, it wouldn't align with the solar year, which is about 365.24 days. The extra .24 days accumulate to create the need for a leap year.

Simply put, this system would simplify the calendar but would still require some kind of adjustment to stay in sync with the seasons.

Aka it wouldn't work.

It’s just an extra New Year’s Day every four years or so. Since there’s already a set day for this to happen it’s easier than a random month.

Sure but what day of the week would it count as? Any answer would throw off the perfect Mon-Sun year cycle.

You wouldn’t advance Mon-Sun. You’d just have one or two special days.

Sunday and Sunday Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

This sounds like a pain on the ass to support with computer calendars.

Current calendars are a pain to support. This would totally make things easier. Always 4 weeks per month, days of the week always correspond with day of month. This is significantly easier than the current system.

Aka it would work as well as the current system but simpler.

Yeah it's called skip day. It wouldn't be a day of the week it would literally just be a day with no name attached to it and every four years you'd have two skip days. So you'd have Sunday December 28th, and then 2 days later would be Monday January 1st. As long as we all accept that skip days don't exist within a week it's fine.

It's a little weird but it's only weird for two days or one day rather than being weird basically all the time.

I live on earth, I'm an adult and speak English as my primary language, and even I need to do the little song to work out how many days a given month has.

We could do a purge in those days.

No Nut November followed by a day of prunes, then hardcore anal for a day straight. The perfect purge.

I've always thought that the purge would only really work in the US, as in Europe it would be more awkward than deadly.

Basically everybody would just be rude to each other.

Have you got a gun?

No, well have you got a gun?

No.

Okay well fuck you then.

Those movies never really made much sense. Surely the first thing people would do is find a way to make money or get free stuff. Maybe you have a few enterprising bank robbers, but most people would probably just loot.

Granted, people get shot for way less in the US all the time, so maybe it's better to just stay home and get high.
