They'd have to end it. Butcher and Homelander are the show. Plus, end it while it's hot.

Personally, I'm looking forward to Starlight unshackling her powers over atomic particles. It'd be neat to see a gritty Atom Eve type take the story by the collar.

Problem with a lot of shows is that they start off strong then get worse and worse as they drag it out as it gets more popular. Kind of felt like it is headed that way with how the last episode ended up feeling like a sitcom of everything just returning back to the status quo with some slight changes to up the stakes, but it really remaining the same. So it did feel like show should be coming to an end soon anyways. Plus, with how dragged out hiatuses between seasons are now days wrapping things up sooner is not something I have issue with.
