I've seen the anime as a kid but I keep hearing about the game. Is it a classic that I should be playing?
Powerstone 2 was basically a Super Smash Bros-style 4-player fighting party-game but with the 3D-platformer gameplay of a Wrestlemania game. Instead of Smash Balls, there were a set of "Stones" where you'd get an ultimate if you got 3 of them. Very fun party/fighting game, much like Smash.
I remember loving power stone play sessions as a kid, but I hardly remember the game. Just remember loving it.
I tried to play it recently and I did not have much fun. Maybe it’s because it’s single play? Maybe it’s because it didn’t age well.
I can imagine it didn’t age well.
The destructive/interactive environments were very cool for the time. Also loved the art style.
It's a classic yes. It's been re-released very sparsely though.
It's kindof like a smash-bros like game with a simplified combat style and weapons, especially the second game where they added 4-player gameplay
