Communism, definitionally, cannot have a state. That isn't gatekeeping. Your can argue about getting there but then tankies generally support states with no interest in actually doing that.
Sometimes, sometimes they at least pretend they intend on abolishing the state even though we all know they're lying even just by virtue of "even if you're well intentioned once it exists it will never kill itself." But also that's why they aren't marxists, they're state communists, they take all the leftist communist ideals +state i.e "not right wing." Right wing =! "when state."
