Fascinating. It's only for laser printers, but the real interesting bit is that they did it for 20 years before it was public knowledge.

Makes you wonder what other stuff they have hidden in devices we use every single day. Unless people start de-lidding the chips in their stuff and analyzing the circuits and dumping and analyzing firmwares, we are in the dark about the vast majority of our stuff that uses proprietary designs. One more reason to use open source hardware and software.
