Collapse, in this context, refers to the significant loss of an established level or complexity towards a much simpler state. It can occur differently within many areas, orderly or chaotically, and be willing or unwilling. It does not necessarily imply human extinction or a singular, global event. Although, the longer the duration, the more it resembles a ‘decline’ instead of collapse.

GDP is not a good way to measure a country's wealth.

Last I checked, they don't have gold-coevered palaces in Luxembourg. Nor do they have any means of bulding a 105-mile-long city that will snake through the Saudi desert hosting 9 million people.

Saudi Arabia is filthy rich with oil money and that's a fact that everyone knows.
