And yet theres never any construction crew there working. A conspiracy theory I have is thats how they store traffic cones when not in use. Just shut down 1-2 lanes of a freeway for several miles.

My county started doing work on a section of high traffic road one summer a few years ago. They ran out of money to fund work on it, so it legit just stayed that way for like 2 years.

They had no problem finding $3m to build a whole new high school gym at the same time though.

Well, they could pay the construction companies to focus on one project, do teo shufts and get shit done in a month, but that would cost like 30% more, so instead it is just going on in the regular pace for 6 months

It pisses me of so much! Years and years of construction on these long term projects, bit there's never anyone around. Like they work 4 hours overnight and call it good.
