Why so many Kingdoms???

All of them except France were kingdoms in real 1929, though if the revolution won in Germany in 1919 some of them could also have at least monarchy abolished by liberals fearing revolutions i guess.

Ahh that makes sense in a way. For some reason I was imagining a 'return of the kings'. Thank you for the explanation.
