Alabama suffocated a man to death in a gas chamber tonight after starving him so he wouldn't choke on his own vomit as they did it. And this was deemed perfectly legal by multiple courts in the vaunted American legal system.
That's what happens when you value institutions over people.

We're talking about an entirely different thing here. I'd recommend reading the article if this is the first time you've encountered the phrase, it's eye opening and is something everyone will have to think about either for themselves or for loved ones.
It just seems the guillotine would be less painful than nitrogen asphyxiation.
