About a decade ago, Tesla rigged the dashboard readouts in its electric cars to provide “rosy” projections of how far owners can drive before needing to recharge, a source told Reuters. The automaker last year became so inundated with driving-range complaints that it created a special team to cancel owners’ service appointments.

Correction: people obsessing over how Twitter is shit.

[–] PenguinJuice@kbin.social 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Still the same sentence either way though

[–] mateomaui@reddthat.com 0 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Literally not the same sentence.

[–] PenguinJuice@kbin.social 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Literally, no. Subject wise, yes.

Twitter ain't shit - people obsessing.
Twitter is shit and so people are obsessing.

Same thing. If it's shit, ignore it and move on. Make your own Twitter. You never owned it, you have no right to claim it ever was or ever will be anything. You're a dude looking from the outside in, whining.

“looking from the outside in”

Actually, no, I’m on the inside because there are certain people I want to keep up with on every platform because they haven’t transitioned out to Mastadon/Lemmy/Pixelfed/etc yet and may never. Doesn’t mean I give them significant traffic. I rarely if ever comment on T/X, and all promoters get autoblocked with browser extensions.

I’m minimizing engagement and benefit to T/X, which is still shit, and I have to manage it, but only until the few people I care to keep up with there move somewhere else.

No.

If you don't care about something you don't post about it.

You’re just spewing nonsense at this point.

Also, “You never owned it, you have no right to claim it ever was or ever will be anything.”

Uh, yeah, good luck in that alternate reality of yours, convincing people in this one of that in regards to any number of issues, particularly a platform that used to be relatively stable and mostly non-toxic for major businesses to promote themselves on, most of which have pulled back now that Elon’s in charge, because the platform is objectively shit and they minimize their engagement now.

And why would I have to make my own Twitter when Mastodon and others are viable alternatives?

Most if not all of what you said is disposable.

I'm pretty sure no one cares, bud. Keep it going though
