➤ Simple Guidelines

➧1. Include the original album name, author and year of release. If you do not know some of the required information, state that in either the title or top-level comment e.g. [Album Name - Author/s Name, Unknown Year]. The reason we ask for this information is that you can only search on the content of post titles, not comments.

➧2. No low-effort/low-quality posts. Posts made to c/albumartporn are expected to be of high quality and have serious effort put behind them. The album cover should be clean, not have any urls/website watermarks in them.

➧3. Be Original

➧4. Be respectful. Harassment, abuse, name calling, and/or threats of any kind is not tolerated here. Any content, whether an image or a comment, that includes any kind of bigoted language or hate speech will be met with a permanent ban.

➧5. No off-topic Content Never post anything that is off-topic (i.e. not album art) or that contains gory material.

➧6. No spam or reposts. Do not submit more than one of the same post/comment on this community or across multiple communities. In addition, please wait at least 3 months before reposting an image that has already been posted to c/albumartporn, and do not repost from the top of all time.

➧7. No advertisement or self-promotion. Do not use this subreddit to advertise or self-promote. This includes (but is not limited to) websites, articles, blog posts, and brands.

➧8. No memes, gifs, videos, audios. Just album covers

➧9. Tag NSFW Posts · Nudity: Obvious, implied or strategically covered · Content that is “sexually explicit” · Gore, both human and non-human.

➠Feel free to report any content that does not respect these rules.

Much better than ‘Some Nights’, but I like that album as well. What’s your favourite song on this? Mine is ‘The Gambler’

Try listening to Nates earlier project The Format. Less pop than fun. and criminally underrated.

Probably one of, if not, my favorite band.

Facts. So good. Criminally underrated. Another band from the same Era that was amazing, The Jealous Sound. Their album Kill Them With Kindness is a masterpiece.

I left this comment unread for a month so I could come back and give it a listen when I could give it the attention it deserves.

A bit more melancholic that The Format. I dig it, it gives me strong Sorority Noise vibes. Maybe even some American Football emo vibes.

It's hard to find a band that evokes the same emotions as The Format for me, Nate's bright voice is unrivaled and Sam's song writing was infectious.

I'd totally forgot about this lil interaction lol but I'm happy to hear you gave them a listen. Lyrically I get the Sorority Noise vibe, and musically I see the American Football. I've always had a hard time relating them to another artist. They're one of those bands that's kinda hard to pinpoint. They're like... a late 90s alternative and 2000s emo bastard child that hardly anybody heard. I can't recall how I even heard em all those years ago lol.

I totally agree with your assessment of The Format though. They invoke feelings and emotions in a myriad of ways.

It's really hard to say. I usually out the whole thing on but the opener definitely hooks me.

The opener is really good!!

Jack Antonoff is an excellent producer, he really made Some Nights as catchy as it was. As much as I love Nate, he really excelled with a partner. Just as he was able to work so well with Sam Means in The Format. Even the song he worked on with P!nk shows he has great talent, but he shines best when he can collaborate with another talented artist.

Nate's solo album didn't hit the same chords for me.

I tend to gravitate towards 'All the pretty girls' but I can put this album on repeat and sing along to the whole thing.
