Yep.

The only true way to waste your vote is to not use it.

If you want to protest, spoil your ballot.

Edit: presumably I'm being downvoted by people that think their "stay at home" protest won't just be viewed as apathy or nonchalance

That's reasonable if both candidates are equally bad, otherwise not so much.
