I've always had flaky connections but discovered it's the cable. Usually when connection gets flaky I replace the cable and it works well going forward.

yea my 5a is doing fine with android auto except the cable gives out what feels like twice a year? I'm not very hard on cables, i don't know what the deal is. I wish my car had wireless aa

The USB port on my Pixel5 is useless but I got Motorola MA1 adapter: https://www.motorola.com/us/ma1-wireless-car-adapter-for-android-auto/p Developed with Google it enables wireless Android Auto. Using it for a month and it's perfect!

Didn't knew this existed at all, will look at this definitely because I have problems with usb C plug on my phone that doesn't hold very well the connector...

I have had one of these for a year. It's real handy but it does on occasion cut out my audio while driving. Happens more when driving with nav on. It's a little disruptive, but not enough to return it. I'm on an S22 Ultra.

Never cut off for me. Occasionally it would take a little longer to start. But other than that it's been great
