You cannot make art based on numbers and algorithms. My feeling has been for a long time that audiences are extremely smart, and executives have started to believe that they’re not. Audiences will always be able to sniff out bullshit. Even if films start to be made with AI, humans aren’t going to fucking want to see those.”

It also brought in a handsome box office. Does not mean it is a good movie (it was properly horrible in my view, could not watch it, but some of the reviews were fun!), just that people with tastes different to mine exist in numbers. From what I can see about the new release, we won't be able to use this defence here.
