Hi everybody! I hope you are excited for a new general thread. I know I am! As always, use this thread for any general questions you might have, recommendations you are looking for, or updates on things you have enjoyed over the past week.

Like normal, please be careful with spoilers. I wrote a guide about spoilers in case you need a refresher on how to handle them (also linked in the sidebar).

I have been on vacation at the beach for most of my time this past week, so I haven't really been reading much. I have managed to keep up with a couple series (mainly the ones that are shorter chapters). There are a couple highlights to mention:

  • Hanging Out with a Gamer Girl - This series had a really big moment this latest chapter (192). It was quite satisfying and I am hoping that the series is not coming to an end soon.
  • Yuusha to Yobareta Nochi ni: Soshite Musou Otoko wa Kazoku wo Tsukuru - I have been really enjoying this series lately. It is essentially a group of super powerful misfits that aren't wanted by humanity that create a family together.
  • Ijimete-gokko - I randomly ran across this series on the recent updates page and it has been interesting. It is about an adult couple in which the woman accidentally reveals that she wishes to be a sub (think BDSM stuff). The thing I really liked about the 2 chapters that have come out so far is that both people in this relationship are communicating and talking like adults. I think that it benefits a lot from having both adult characters, but also adult readers since it is in a josei publication, so they don't have to stick to all the usual super embarrassed, super bashful, first-love tropes that are worn out.
  • kmtakpk's Frieren Twitter Shorts - This is a collection of Frieren fan comics from a twitter user that have been coming out alongside the airing of the anime. They are just 1-4 panels long and are pretty fun. A perfectly digestable nugget of humor for me while I am in vacation mode.

Yuusha to Yobareta Nochi ni: Soshite Musou Otoko wa Kazoku wo Tsukuru

This is essentially Spy x Family, but in a fantasy setting.

This is a pretty succinct way of putting it. That is essentially correct.
