A meeting, requested to take place this coming Friday, would mark the first time the union and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers have come together since the WGA called a strike on May 1.

I hope they don't take the first deal unless it gives them everything they want/deserve. We can go a while without new content for folks to live better.

Exactly, enough content has been made in the last hundred years to last a lifetime. If we miss out for a little bit on new content I'm prefectly fine with that.

But they need to be treated properly by the industry.

I agree, although it's not really about our demand for entertainment as much as the strikers' need to make rent. I hope the most successful of them make meaningful donations to help the ones who are struggling.
