I am 55 and have had therapy and help and meds for asd since I was 15. Basically nothing helped and I'm at a point I feel burned out. I have tried most (if not all) anti depressants. They do not remove depressed feeling but only make it so I don't care. They also come with horrible side effects like weight gain and erectile dysfunction. Antipsychotica just made me suicidal. Diazapams (opioïdes?) at least make me feel less anxious but that is about it.

What else is there to try? I have an appnt with my doctor next week. I am seriously considering things like xtc, speed, cocaine etc at this point. But with all the problems that comes with I just don't know anymore.

What do u use that helps deal with life?

I'm really sorry to hear that you're struggling with this, but please don't do MDMA, speed or cocaine to self-medicate your depression. They will make things worse, especially MDMA, being low serotonin is no joke and if you're already suffering from depression then you're asking for trouble, plus it can be really dangerous to use MDMA when you're taking anti-depressants.

You could try mushrooms or LSD, either micro or macrodose. I find that both can have the same effect but if you've done shrooms or acid before and can handle a macrodose I would recommend trying that. Personally I find that I feel much better for weeks after doing a good dose of shrooms, no need to microdose all the time.

The trip can be a very painful and traumatic experience but I find that no matter how the trip went, I come out of it feeling much better. I find myself no longer stuck in a negative thought loop and am able to view things from different perspectives which can be a very powerful thing when you're dealing with depression.

I tried lsd once in my tweens. Didn't really like the trip itself but remember feeling good for a week afterwards. Never tried shrooms. Might consider it. Just not sure where to get it (safely). Thanks for the advice.

A psychedelic trip in your tweens is very different from tripping as an adult. Do some reading about the topic to be sure its right for you before you make any decisions obviously but do look into it. Its helped me.

As for shrooms, grow them. Heres a great resource

If you're in Canada I could probably help you find a source.
