This is the definition of late-stage capitalism.

Capitalism could be loosely defined as:

  • Take something
  • Add value
  • Sell at a sustainable profit

Late-stage Capitalism replaces the last two stages with:

  • Sell at a maximized profit
  • Scour the sales path for any remaining money
  • Grab it all
  • Take back the thing you initially sold
