Briefly thought this was saying that Android was finally getting a native notes app as capable as Apple's notes app...

I use my S Pen a lot, but never for writing. It's generally just photo editing, sketching, annotation, etc. I'll be bloody sad if Samsung ever ditches the silo!

Oh, I will always insist on having this S Pen slot (came from many years of Note devices)... even though I never really use it. I actually find the screen too small to comfortable use the pen on a regular basis. But for photo touch ups? It's priceless.

the spen really comes into its own on a tablet with the screen being larger.

Agreed. I don't use mine often despite being a Note owner since the Galaxy Note 2 (and more recently the S21 Ultra + S Pen and now S23 Ultra). A larger screen really makes it more comfortable to use.
