Good, not one company should have the monopoly on high quality chips
...or country!
Unfortunately it's probably going to take a while before they can catch up. The lithography equipment used to make 5nm chips took decades of research in varying different fields in varying different countries to make a breakthrough.
I don't doubt they can eventually crack it faster than its original conception, but it's still going to take a good chunk of time.
