Yes the architecture is different but that's not the point I'm trying to make. Microsoft are actively pursuing backwards compatibility and trying to make it better, FPS Boost and enhanced resolution are both such prominent features that they're advertised on the Xbox store for each game that has them.

It's something Microsoft is pushing for, FPS Boost was developed by the Backwards Compatibility Team, they then work with developers to implement it with past games. PS5 has Game Boost but aside from it just being there Sony isn't offering the same assistance for developers to improve older titles, if this was an Xbox game you bet Microsoft would be helping to implement FPS Boost and get it to 60fps.

Microsoft killed the team that did that stuff back in 2021 fwiw. It's over now
