Anyone buying Apple products in 2024 is a sap.
They're the only semi-decent (sound quality) company I'm aware of that make earbuds without the little buttplug tips. I seemingly need to stretch out my tight earholes, but I'd prefer if ANY company could make earbuds that aren't just skullcandy+ please.
Taking suggestions if anyone knows of one.
Get IEMs and get foam tips.
Those seem to mostly have the same shape to the ear part that I'm complaining about currently.
Get custom tips
Sure, but it'd be nice to not have to spend what I'm sure isn't a paltry sum when they could just as easily "not" be a cookie cutter copy of literally everything else on the market, in the hope, not promise, that it'll be an improvement.
I wouldn't be surprised if apple has a patent on the shape. Probably not enforceable but who's got the money to deal with a lawsuit with apple for 10+ years over headphones?
Possibly Huawei if you're not in the US. Sony open backs? Or maybe just some xiaomi model, but I can't vouch for sound there.
I'm in the same boat and use the regular airpods 2. The 3rd gen would be ideal too unless Huawei entices me to switch over.
US indeed, so no can do I guess.
