I like your drawing! I've never tried to visualize what my character might be experiencing, but this will be coloring my perception from now on.
Yeah, I agree there could be more visual diversity too.
I like to visualise some mundane things in the dungeon. Conversations with the ghost or with a merchant, moments of rest after the boss fight, sleeping in hidden secure places (dungeon run can last days, the hero needs some rest. Maybe in the garden? Once I drew a sketch with rogue sleeping with his cloak as a blanket). This game is simple yet full of little details and it's fun to imagine some more.
