Me too...I've been stuck on quantum physics for the past 15 years. Soon, I'll be able to start wrapping my head around chemistry and maybe some biology before I die.
i mostly try to keep busy with things, rather than stuff. Reading is a great way to learn, but you have to be very directed for it to be productive. Which to be fair, isn't incredibly hard.
Find things to do that keep your brain stimulated, and exploit the ever living shit out of them, that's why smart people exist. That's what they do really well. Knowledge is 50% of intelligence.
