I might be understanding Lemmy wrong, but I thought you're supposed to make a community on the instance you joined, which in my case is sh.itjust.works, not lemmy.ml
Apologies, I thought that's what you were on.
And yes, it seems you can only make a community on the instance you registered on. I am not sure if there is any way around this due to the federated nature of lemmy.
I figured it out! I just had to go to https://sh.itjust.works/create_community
But does that work in the app or no?
I read in another post that it isn't available in the all yet.
