He's jumps out of a portal right beside the crashed mindflayer ship. You need to interact with the portal
He did. He failed the skill check to bring him out. His question was if there was another way to get him if you fail pulling him out of the portal.
I cut off his hand, but I kept it because it might come in handy.
I'm deeply hoping we meet an angry one handed Gale at some point out for revenge.
