Multiple countries have refused to cooperate with the ICC in the past. For example, Sudan has refused to turn over a leader wanted for genocide. And of course Putin is also wanted by the ICC.

The majority of people indicted by the ICC were never brought to trial. Defying the ICC has never sparked a war, and it certainly won't spark WW3.

And the idea that Americans would fight a civil war over Gaza is absurd. Americans rate Gaza at the bottom of their list of important issues. It's like suggesting Americans would fight a civil war over net neutrality. Net neutrality is extremely popular but nobody is willing to die over it.

Finally, on the issues that actually matter the most to Democrats, Biden does agree with their basic principles.
