He was sent to jail, finished his sentence, and is now a free man who qualifies for the Olympics. You could argue, and I'd agree, that his sentence for rape of a minor was way too low, but that is another discussion.

He committed a crime, did the time, and now qualifies.

Yeah, if he served his sentence, I don't know what else you want from him. It's not like competing in the Olympics is going to create a danger for him repeating the crime. At some point people have to be able to live their lives again.

It's not just "living their lives again", I wouldn't want a pedophile rapist to represent my country at the Olympics.

It's only rape if it comes from the rape region of France. This is just sparkling sexual assault and battery.
