Wow, Japan just in the last few weeks finally stopped using all floppy disks at a government level. Even we aren't using floppies anymore.

We are actually ahead of somebody for a change, woo!

Seriously, I get why they would want to use physical media from a security perspective, but surely they have better options than floppies. From the article an engineer is going on site with 8 floppies to load all that data every month, surely they could change formats and cut it down to one at the very least.

I really hope the engineer is going on site with a shiny briefcase handcuffed to him. Inside lined with velvet to protect the Navigation Floppies.
