Enough Musk Spam

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

The cynical part of me wonders how many of these "we're cooked" comments are part of a psyop to discourage Democrats from voting

[–] ArgentRaven@lemmy.world 27 points 4 months ago

I think the "Biden is suddenly to old" stuff is a psyop, this close to the election. But the "we're cooked" is a general feel I'm getting from my friends, too. It feels bleak. However, I'm in Oklahoma so there's no way my state wouldn't go for Trump. So maybe elsewhere there's different opinions? I hope.

I also vote, even though I know none of my votes have counted since it's always a Republican that wins, here. I don't want anyone to have the satisfaction that they took my hope and resolve away.

I wish my feelings of being cooked weren't real, but unfortunately it's felt this way for some time. I'm still voting.

We are cooked. Vote for Dems anyway.

I'm still not voting for him, but his chances of being president just went up. The last thing he needed is martyrdom.

[–] Psychodelic@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago

Sure but anything could happen. I mean, someone could assassinate Biden

Now imagine what that would do for the Dem's chances of getting Harris elected. Oh yeah. It's all coming together

Navy Seals wouldn't have missed.

He isn't a martyr though. A martyr dies don't they?

He already compares himself to every highly esteemed figure there ever was. Captain Bonespurs didn't need that.

The cynical part of you should see how corrupt the system is and how little our votes change our lives for the better.

[–] GladiusB@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago

How many have very few comments and are inflammatory? Russian bots at it again? Maybe?

We are cooked. I'm looking at Express Entry options in Canada.
