MODERATORS

We have been under troll attack for a while now. For this reason, I am giving up on the open registration policy for a while.

I will also add a rule for extremist users. Even though I care about freedom, I don't like moderation duties very much :) These users must find a new instance that matches their identity.

We’re also looking for an admin who can volunteer to moderate. They should be someone who has spent a few months in our instance, has a clean moderation history, and is active. In short, they must be someone we can trust. @QuazarOmega@lemy.lol and I are busy these days :)

If we put real money in it, it would be devastating

I mean users should pay. Rewarding users with money would be suicidal for any social media.

So many questions come to my mind. I guess we won't know whether it will work or not unless such an example is implemented :) Maybe I'm so used to free social media, the opposite seems illogical 🤔

I mean, for many, even small fee would be a showstopper. This is the biggest issue here - people shitpost a lot for better or worse, because it's free.

Paid model would probably not work for meme boards, but it might work for large technical communities
