I suspect they ~~seem~~ see them more as laws of nature than obligations.
Ferengi are the ultimate capitalist realists.
In Danish we have an idiom which says "der er intet der er så skidt, at det ikke er godt for noget" which roughly translates to "there's nothing that's so bad it isn't good for anything"
