I’m not sure what’s going on over there, but half the time I see a post from there or go into a comment section and it’s just…bad. Like old reddit the_donald bad. Constant trolling, etc. You TS just really bad vibes. I’ve been blocking the communities as they come up, but I’m not sure what else I can do.

Are pronouns actually mandatory on Hex?

you're allowed to set them to none/use name if you really prefer, but pronouns are always displayed yes

it's part of what has made hexbear the friendliest space to be trans (period imo, but especially online)

Just try to make an account without pronouns on hexbear, you'll see it is impossible.

Yes, and we banned everyone who didn't want them mandatory. Because using optional pronouns is just a magnet for "this person is trans, dm them 'you will never be woman, kys'" from Nazis. If everyone uses pronouns display, it is normalized.
