vscode is bloated, switch to emacs
emacs is bloated, switch to vim

vi is bloated, switch to ed

No, I don't use vscode, I use mg (tiny emacs-like editor, lighter than nvi) and edIf you're already comfy with vim, don't switch. If anything, I encourage you to try even more minimal editors.
