Wow, not what I was expecting. He didn't even look wounded. The level of despair those Russians must be experiencing is incomprehensible. Here's hoping that it helps cause the front to collapse sooner rather than later.
I hate seeing these videos knowing that the large majority of the Russian forces were conscripted.
It just feels so bad watching a man die that we know didn't want to be there.
I mean fuck Putin and all of that, but I just can't celebrate deaths like these.
War is terrible.
I definitely agree, but not all conscripts are unwilling. I'd like to think a lot of Russians are against the war, but truthfully, a lot at least first bought into the propaganda and didn't mind getting conscripted to "do their duty" for Putler.
For us here in Finland some bitch about conscription, but most like it and ~75% of males go through it and definitely consider it positive afterwards. Pretty different though, playing at war here for a year versus being deployed in Putler's forces indefinitely.
Yeah I was somewhat positive opening this video, thinking the guy was gonna throw his gun down and arms up. I was unpleasantly surprised. Don't like celebrating gruesome shit like this, despite knowing that rhe internet is one front for the war and this does add to Ukraine's side and diminish Russia's.
War is such a needless thing in the modern world. Yes, I know that's idealistic and utopic, but also, the world has massively changed in the past thirty years ago. During WWII, international information exchange, domestic education, and just cultural exchange was still comparatively so small that doing the whole "they eat kids and rape dogs" (or was it the other way around) bit still very much worked.
When I was like 9 or something, the school proposed these penpal programs to other countries to get to use English and learn about other people in other countries. By snail mail. Most kids who are preteeners nowaday probably have at least a few people on their friends lists who aren't from the same country.
There's enough to go around and no-one really wants to fight. So let's get rid of the corrupt assholes who want more than anyone should have and we can all live in peace and have our bellies full.
