Specifically, given the name is "Great Britain", I'm curious: does Northern Ireland compete under the Union Jack? Or are they with the Irish team like they do in rugby union and cricket?

Yeah turned out very easy to find actually.

But there are 37 Northern Irish athletes in Paris, with six representing Tema GB while the others compete for Team Ireland - and they include three current world champions.
