If the 3rd pick is traded for Siakam who is expiring, I will personally riot.

So does Lemmy not have flairs? that makes your statement surprisingly ambiguous 😄

I wish there is a way to have flairs. I'm a lifelong Blazer fan. Just the thought of letting go of a future with Brandon Miller or even Scoot Henderson (if Charlotte is going to let scoot slip) is baffling to me. Its just not worth a Pascal expiring.

I agree, you guys need to stop trying to somehow win now with Dame + a bunch of veterans, and continue building on your young core

[–] Fordry@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

It's what I've been saying a lot lately. Everyone is stuck on, "Dame's the greatest Blazer ever we can't do that" kind of mentality though. But ya, they won't be able to build a championship team with Dame. They don't have enough pieces and can't bring in that level of player in free agency.

I feel like they have to just let Dame go at this point it does not seem like Portland is ever going to figure it out.

Seriously. I've been team stay for a while on this but it's time to cut the cord. Blazers need a rebuild and Dame needs a change of scenery.

This seems like a very bad choice.

Anyone found a blazer lemmy community yet? I moved from Portland recently and still liked getting to talk about the team somewhere

It'd be nice if there was some sort of agreement than he'd extend with us past this season before we traded the 3. That's really my only concern, but I'm a trade the pick stan.

[–] sixfourseven@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I'm pretty sure he would. He just wants to win and I think he can with Dame.

Id rather they go after zion at least with him the ceiling is high... this would be a bad move

An injury prone star? I know some people like to compare his career trajectory to Embiid but nah I don’t have faith in Zion having a healthy enough season to positively affect the team as a whole. It won’t help Dame.

[–] Zobin@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

The fact that hes injury prone is why the pelicans would be willing to ship him off. At least with zion, if hes healthy he can actually make the blazers competitive unlike siakam. Its a far better risk imo

With the Blazers' medical staff??

[–] lemp44@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

There goes the 3rd pick. Good deal for Toronto if they are going full rebuild.

I don't see how this could be true AND that the Raps want to re-sign FVV, which has also been reported...
