Someones just gotta spin it up. Im sure that Lemmy will be the new home of piracy. Id be shocked if Reddit didn't nuke all the pirate subs in prep for their IPO

Wow, it was my goto for TOTK guides, mods and sharing my yuzu setups. Reddit gets worse every day.
My only remaining subscriptions on Reddit were /r/SteamDeck and /r/NewYuzuPiracy - now it's pretty much just /r/SteamDeck
What is "New Yuzu?"
Yuzu is a Switch emulator.
It was called New because the original subreddit had already been banned before.
Hahahahaha! 😂 This is amazing! That sub was probably the main one I enjoyed visiting lately that didn't really have an off-reddit alternative. (Signal and Bitwarden I went to to help others with questions, but they have their own community forums.)
And when someone asked why NewYuzuPiracy didn't go dark, they got down voted to hell with some of the top comments saying how it was dumb to go dark, nobody cares about 3rd party apps, etc. Well jokes on them now!

Had quite a few tabs open for TOTK too. In hindsight the community really should have prepared for this eventuality. The only user I remember from the group is /u/chucksfeedandseed. On a side note, what is lemmy.ml's stance on piracy related discussion? As long as there's no direct linking to illegal material they're fine with it right?

What was newyuzupiracy for?
Running Switch games through emulators (primarily Yuzu since it is much more popular). Recently it had become almost exclusively about emulating Tears of the Kingdom.
Dam it. Is this all archived somewhere?
