From what I read the two most promising distros are postmarket and ubuntu touch.

Do you have any other distros in mind?

@haui_lemmy @Beaver Droidian is a very good option. You have several devices that are fully functional with Droidian. I use a Redmi Note 9 Pro and the battery lasts all day with medium-high use

I have heard about Mobian,Plasma Mobile, Sailfish, openSUSE.

I think plasma mobile is a desktop environment, not a distro. Sailfish is proprietary from what I read here. The other two are a little less usable if you dont have the exact phone they support according to this
