This is the minimum they promise but they can still issue security updates for core system components like safari for a few more years.

I have a iPad from a decade ago still getting the occasional security patch. Clearly this is Apple lowballing regulators.

They promise at least five years and everybody else first has to make their promise come true.

I remember Google killing off their 'Pixel Pass' even before any customer could take advantage of it. That'll be long 7 years.
