I hope they've gone further towards the old combat style and stealth gameplay. I never liked the new one of just being an 'assassin' by openly running through a fort and stabbing each enemy with spastic animations until their arbitrary and chonky healthbar depletes.
The game is set in Japan. Why did they set the tone using a Chinese Dizi flute? It would be like introducing assassins creed 3 with a didgeridoo.
Why not the shakuhachi?

This didn't even look like an Assassin's Creed game when I first saw the trailer during the showcase today. That's a good thing, btw. This almost feels like an actual fresh approach.
They had some actually fun mechanics in Odyssey and then they drove every single one of them off a cliff in Valhalla. We'll see what they do, I suppose
Hmm, I'm less skeptical of this game. I won't get it on launch though because these games benefit from plenty of time for post launch patches. This will be on I play when Ubisoft puts it on sale for like 25% or 50% off.
