Konami fucked up by mistreating Hideo. Glad the actual talent working there has more sense about them.

I think Hideo would have a case if they didn't credit him and the original developers. They obviously didn't design the game from scratch.

But will they credit Eva's voice actor by her real name this time? Whatever stigma there may have been in 2004 for being in a video game has got to be gone by now.

She was credited with a pseudonym. It happened plenty in the 90s, and this wasn't long after. That means probably Hollywood talent. Someone prestigious who thought taking this role would be bad for her career, or maybe her agent thought that. But times have changed in the past 20 years, so maybe we can know who it is now.

For once Konami gets credit for basic decency I guess. Wooo.

Reminds me of the assholes at Capcom who once removed a big part of Okami's ending because "it was a movie with Clover's logo on it, and we had no right to use that logo on a game they didn't directly work on".

Clover, the studio that they'd close up for financial reasons a few years before and who made the full fucking game to begin with. But you know, they didn't work on the mostly straight port.
