I love ISPReview. The guy who runs it is an absolute gem.

The comments can be hilarious, like that 47 bloke who finds any reason to rant about OpenReach, then other people call him out for being a cock.

Its awesome.

We got fibre to the door in my rural village, thanks EU funding!

I rang up recently to renew for a lower price and ended up upgrading speed instead. Can't believe 1.6gig internet is possible ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I'm sadly still on FTTC (60Mbps in practice), but my neighbour 4 doors down, on the next telephone pole along, has 1.8 gigabit. I have no idea when they'll come back and do my pole. Story of my life you could say.

We had leaflets come through from Gigaclear years ago saying they would soon be installing full fibre. I've been on a mailing list ever since waiting for it and I'm still on the same FTTC connection

took three years from youfibre saying they were coming soon, to it being installed, but can't complain now with my 1000:1000 connection.

Same, it took about 1.5 years from Gigaclear pushing paper through the door to getting hooked up.

On the other hand, OpenReach announced 4 times over the past 6 years, normally after an alt-net showed interest in expanding here to dissuade them. They still haven't got a start date for the build out.
